Solomon had a four-decade career in the insurance industry, where he began as an examiner and actuary for the Oregon State Insurance Department. Born and raised in Eugene, Nathan had traveled to Mexico and Cuba before he decided to go to Israel in 1973. Kol Ami plans a local shiva minyan.
